The organization of the first Rombola festival in 1978 by Mermingas was hugely successful. For the first time, the distinctiveness and value of Rombola as a special local, cultural product, was highlighted. This took place when no attempt was being made to promote agricultural products. From 1978 to the present, the festival of Rombola is unfailingly organized on the first weekend after the fifteenth of August.







Visitors will have the opportunity to taste local foods (boiled she-goat, local feta), drink abundant wine, get to know the local, traditional dances by the Mermingas dance groups and they will be able to enjoy themselves at the genuine Kefallonian fiesta.
